CUSTOM BUILT CASES A word of warning! We are not the cheapest! Now we’re being very honest here to save you, and us, some wasted time. The reason? Simply, we don’t build to a price, we build to a specification, discussed with you, to give you a case that will do the job, day after day, year after year. For example; we hand select our plywood for the optimum combination of strength and weight. If the case is for something heavy, we’ll fit larger handles, and more of them, to make lifting more comfortable, and safer. We fit butterfly catches with kick out springs, to make opening and closing cases quicker and easier. We often put hand recesses for lifting in the foam surrounds. For cases that equipment runs in, we’ll work out packing that allows airflow, etc.etc.etc. All these finishing touches go to make life easier and prolong the life of your equipment. But they do take time or extra cost to incorporate. Although our custom cases are all hand crafted to your specification, here are some ‘standard’ specifications to get you started. CASES We usually manufacture from 10mm plywood with an applied high pressure laminate in a range of basic colours: - * Light blue * Dark blue * Yellow * Orange * Black * Red * Green * Black Other colours and finishes are easily available – ask for details. We use high quality extrusions of various types, all around the case, including hybrid extensions on lid/base joints; - Various catches or latches for closing, together with hinges and struts for lids. Corners can be square for easy stacking or ball for maximum protection. All these fittings are available in various duties. Let us know how you intend to use your case and we’ll recommend what we think is appropriate. 19” Racks. Standard depth of centre section, both lids removed is …..mm let us know if you require less (for fx units for instance) or more. If your gear is particularly heavy we can build in 12mm ply. Or we can provide an 18mm sleeve (for power amps for example) set within a foamed wheeled case. MIXER CASES We can supply transit only cases or larger cases designed to run your mixers in. These allow for cooling and have storage space for cables, lights and sundries.
